The Skills Insight community is an online community of interest and practice, focused on skills and training standards and innovation across 13 industry sectors.

The ideal candidate will use their relationship management skills to work with industry leaders and tap into their knowledge and networks. They will champion the community internally and demonstrate its function and value to stakeholders.

Research Specialist (Skills Insight)

This is a chance to become a key member of a values driven community of practice tasked with informing strategic inputs into upskilling the workforce of the future.

This specialist research role will work predominately to support Skills Insight in delivering outcomes in workforce planning and industry stewardship activities.

The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar role, bringing strengths in qualitative research. While knowledge of education and vocational training would be an advantage, we are looking for individuals with a curious mind-set, willingness to learn, proactive and resourceful and able to work effectively and comfortably independently, as well as part of a close-knit collaborative team.

Executive Officer – Stakeholder Engagement (AFAM)

This is an opportunity to contribute to the work of AFAM ITAB, the Agriculture, Food and Animal Management Industry Training Advisory Body in NSW. AFAM was formed by a consortium led by Skills Insight and MINTRAC, and provides industry advice to the NSW Government on vocational education and training matters to assist with workforce development.

This role requires highly developed and demonstrated facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills in the context of the VET sector and/or within government. Exemplary communication, an inquisitive mindset and experience in gathering industry intelligence, identifying emerging trends and predicting affects on future training is ideal, as is your willingness to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, cross functional teams, and committees. Flexibility and willingness to travel regionally is a requirement of this role.

Applicants must reside in NSW.
