We are currently recruiting for the following roles. These Executive Manager positions are an exciting opportunity to be a part of a passionate, driven and innovative team who will help shape the workforce of the future. Both roles will report to the CEO and will be a key member of the Executive Team.

Executive Manager – Program & People Engagement

This role will be that of an enabler. It will provide leadership support services for managers and staff, ensuring organisational infrastructure and processes support goals, resolve problems, remove barriers that may prevent successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Stakeholder Engagement Functions
    Ensure effective stakeholder engagement function across the organisation, providing strategic leadership, developing and implementing a reportable stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Key Stakeholder Management 
    Strategically coordinating external stakeholder engagement across the organisation, maximising engagement opportunities and reporting on activity and outcomes.
  • HR leadership 
    Facilitating and assisting staff to effectively navigate, access and use an established HR framework and resources, with a continuous and collaborative improvement mindset ensuring that processes support staff and their activities.
  • People Experience leadership 
    Ensure a positive working environment that is consistent with the organisation’s values, addressing any issues and gaps, managing functionality and engagement across the organisation, and provide guidance and leadership to ongoing improvement to meet performance expectations.

Regular report preparation and presentation for key stakeholders at a sophisticated level will be a critical part of this role. Demonstrated experience of stakeholder engagement, designing and delivering stakeholder engagement plans is essential and some experience in education and training would be ideal. People leadership and  engagement, leading and working with teams, influencing, negotiating, building consensus, and being able to impart knowledge and distil complex policy issues to diverse audiences will be your super power.

A strong understanding of the VET sector and/or a broader understanding of the post-secondary education system will be an advantage, as would any experience of the Agribusiness, Fibre, Food, Animal or Environment Care industries.

Executive Manager – Industry Stewardship & Thought Leadership

This role will affect change and will be key in driving Skills Insight’s success and recognition as a genuine Voice of Industry. It will suit a passionate and determined professional who can grasp complex ideas quickly and explain them clearly to diverse audiences. They should be comfortable in gathering and discussing challenges and solutions in different environments. This role will develop and nurture channels of influence of leading edge-thinking and will work across the organisation, industry and the VET sector to influence change across policy in relation to  Jobs, Skills, Workforce and VET reform, informed by in-depth research data.

Key areas of focus will include the following:

  • Strategy and VET Reform  
  • Managing multiple targeted and diverse stakeholder groups
  • Thought leadership, communications, influence, public speaking, driving initiatives and programs

Experience driving a change agenda, building consensus, managing conflict, negotiating and influencing across complex and diverse key stakeholder groups will be essential strengths for this role. Considerable experience delivering formal presentations and written submissions in formal environments will be essential components of this leadership role, i.e. parliamentary enquiries, statutory hearings, and major conferences. Professional experience in public and government affairs together with a strong understanding of the VET sector and/or a broader understanding of the post-secondary education system will be an advantage, as would any experience of the Agribusiness, Fibre, Food, Animal or Environment Care industries. This role will suit an aspirational and passionate leader eager to affect change.
