Danni McDonald

Head of Training Products

Danni McDonald leads the organisation’s work to interpret, apply and support improvements to national qualification and VET system reform. With over 15 years of experience in the VET sector, Danni brings a rare blend of high-level policy expertise and deep technical knowledge of training product architecture, systems design, and process improvement. She holds a key role in the leadership team, providing strategic oversight to ensure projects align with shifting regulatory landscapes and overarching priorities.

As Head of Training Products, Danni manages a dedicated team responsible for the design, quality assurance, and compliance of national training package products. Danni is a collaborative voice in national conversations, regularly contributing to cross-JSC initiatives to advocate for flexibility and structural clarity in national standards. She also serves as Deputy Chair of the cross-JSC Quality Qualifications Working Group.

Danni is particularly passionate about the digital transformation of educational products and finding innovative, user-centric ways to improve the product development process. Known for her ability to navigate complex systemic interdependencies, she is dedicated to strengthening the standards that ensure all learners have access to meaningful, high-quality training. Danni holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
