Throughout 2023, Skills Insight supported our stakeholders to provide input into the comprehensive review of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).
Managed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the ANZSCO describes and categorises occupations within Australia and New Zealand, providing a framework for data that informs decision making at all levels of government in Australia.
Thank you to everyone who has engaged with us throughout the review process to date. Your contributions have helped inform three detailed and high-quality submissions to the ANZSCO review.
The ABS has considered all submissions and published preliminary proposed changes in response to rounds one, two and three of consultation.
This is in preparation for the fourth round of consultation, which invites feedback on the proposed changes. Round four will be open from 25 July to 6 September 2024.
Skills Insight is reviewing the preliminary proposed changes and will prepare a submission to Round 4 consultations. We welcome input from anyone interested in contributing.
