Thank you to those stakeholders who participated in round table consultation during February and March. These workshops reviewed some recent actions being taken to address challenges for learners to find training and employment, for training organisations to find learners, and for employers to find skilled employees. They focused on examples in the racing and breeding industry where programs have been established to address these barriers and support improved collaboration and access to training.
At these workshops we discussed existing programs, what barriers there might be to establishing similar programs in other states, and solutions to these barriers.
Your contributions will inform a report which is currently being produced. It will outline the findings of these consultations and provide advice on how future initiatives can effectively support connections between employers and RTOs.
