Consultation is taking place throughout this project to revise some of the qualifications, skill sets and units that support essential skills required for entrants into the meat processing industry.
Feedback received during the Broad Consultation phase indicated the need for an additional round of feedback to consult on certain documents. This additional round includes drafts that have undergone major changes, qualifications and units that were previously proposed to be merged, and units previously proposed for deletion that have been retained and updated. It also includes certain units that received differing feedback in the initial Broad Consultation round. Poultry units are also available, as the industry was impacted by avian flu during the previous consultation round.
Two more units have now been added to this consultation round, based on discussions during online workshops:
The drafts will be made available until 8 November to allow more time to review the extra two units.
