Consultation is taking place throughout this project to revise the three Certificate II level meat processing qualifications and the units within them, so they can best support the attraction and development of new learners. 

Feedback received during the Broad Consultation phase has resulted in the need for an additional round of feedback to consult on certain documents. This includes drafts that have undergone major changes, a qualification and units that were previously proposed to be merged, and units previously proposed for deletion that have been retained and updated.

This will also provide the opportunity for further discussions about certain units that received differing feedback in the initial Broad Consultation round. Poultry units will also be made available again, as the industry was impacted by avian flu during the previous consultation round.

The additional round of feedback will open for four weeks in early October.

Register for a Consultation Workshop

You are encouraged to register for an online consultation workshop for the additional round of Broad Consultation. A targeted workshop is being held on 2 October for discussion of the Certificate II in Meat Retailing.
