The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) will soon open consultations on the next update to the Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA).
How an occupation is described in the OSCA can influence whether it appears on national skills lists used by the Government to identify which occupations are eligible for funding and support.

The ABS will run a consultation from 10 March to 11 April 2026 through the ABS Consultation Hub.
