The Hon Andrew Giles MP, Minister for Skills and Training, has announced the finalists for the 2025 Australian Training Awards.
Among them are individuals and organisations making significant contributions to industries we support.
Finalists include Lewis Italiano from Western Australia, recognised for excellence in cabinet making; Hamish Genrich from Queensland, who is using his Certificate III in Agriculture to champion sustainability and efficiency in farming; and Dion Sands, a proud descendant of the Gunggandji people, recognised for his commitment to learning and caring for Country.
Guilford Young College in Tasmania, along with TAFE NSW, Charles Darwin University, and Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute, also feature among this year’s finalists for their work in building essential skills across agriculture, animal care and related industries.
These achievements reflect the vital role of vocational education in supporting Australia’s primary industries and the future-focused skills development that Skills Insight champions.
The Awards will be held on Friday 5 December at the Darwin Convention Centre.
