This project was established to identify a consistent national approach to managing pre‑requisite skill requirements for manual tree felling units of competency at basic, intermediate and advanced levels.
Thank you to everyone who contributed feedback throughout the project. Your insights have helped shape the final report, which is available to download on the project page.
The report recommends updating the three units to clearly state required pre‑existing skills, supported by an Evidence Guide and revised Companion Volume User Guide. It also proposes a national professional development program and a structured activity plan to support consistent implementation across the sector.
