Our Stakeholder Forum recently met face-to-face to discuss Jobs and Skills Council work priorities.
The Forum brings together a group of industry leaders who together represent more than 70 unique sub-sectors across agribusiness, fibre, furnishing, food, animal and environment care.
The group discussed productivity, regional and remote priorities, and skills leadership to help guide Skills Insight’s future work.
Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jessica Hocking shared updates on key work activities and emphasised the importance of stakeholder input in driving this work. Les Gordon, Skills Insight Director, highlighted the valuable role of the Forum in shaping solutions for shared industry priorities and guiding where action is most needed.
Les also thanked outgoing CEO Michael Hartman for his work in the role and dedication to improving outcomes for skills and training. Next Tuesday 7 October, Skills Insight is excited to welcome Dugald Murray as our new CEO.

The Hon Andrew Giles MP, Minister for Skills and Training, joined the Forum to officially launch our Workforce Plan 2025–2026. Minister Giles recognised the significance of the industries and the four strategic priorities that will guide Skills Insight’s activities over the next year.
