Skills Insight is consulting with industry bodies, employers, unions, RTOs, First Nations organisations and other interested stakeholders to map agricultural careers with qualifications as a way to improve the visibility of agricultural career pathways.

Consultation workshops were held nationwide in-person and online. Discussions highlighted the diverse pathways into agricultural careers.

Insights from these sessions are now being analysed. They will help provide guidance on how career pathways can reflect current and emerging workforce requirements. These findings will be discussed with the project Steering Committee at the end of May. Following that, project documentation will be drafted and made available for broad consultation on the Skills Insight website.

The insights will also provide crucial information for the potential  development of a Certificate-III agricultural trade qualification.
