Consultation is continuing with stakeholders to identify the opportunities and challenges facing the textiles, clothing and footwear workforce and to assess if the national qualifications meet industry needs. Your real-world insights can help inform the final report to the Australian Government providing an accurate reflection of the current needs of your industry. You can be involved by completing the stakeholder survey which is open until 31 December 2024.
Online workshop for training providers
Providers of the national Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Training Package have been invited to participate in an online workshop on 10 December 2024 to discuss:
- accredited education and training issues and challenges
- qualification and skill sets gaps
- textiles, clothing and footwear career options for secondary school students
- how to meet industry training and educational requirements
The insights gathered from all stakeholders will help identify future JSC activities and projects to support the industry in addressing its workforce requirements.
