Work is underway to map the different licensing and regulatory considerations in the animal care and management industry.
This will help registered training organisations (RTOs) to navigate requirements when delivering training, especially those that cannot be captured in qualifications and units.
Requirements are being mapped against key training ‘touchpoints’:
- pre-entry conditions
- delivery/assessment requirements
- post-completion obligations.
Feedback gathered during targeted stakeholder consultations is currently being collated and incorporated to ensure relevance and currency of legislative and regulatory requirements for all ACM industry sectors.
This pilot project will produce a detailed database, whilst testing a scalable approach that can be applied across training packages in the future, creating a centralised resource.
