This pilot will assist registered training organisations (RTOs) to navigate licensing, legislative, regulatory, and certification requirements when delivering training.

While qualifications and units outline key requirements, they can’t capture all state-based or less obvious obligations, which can create challenges for RTOs and learners. For instance, a program may require a driver’s licence or animal ethics approval, with requirements varying across jurisdictions.

Existing requirements in the ACM Animal Care and Management Training Package will be mapped against key training ‘touchpoints’:

  • pre-entry conditions
  • delivery/assessment requirements
  • post-completion obligations.

Targeted engagement with relevant stakeholders will be undertaken to ensure accuracy, relevance and currency of the information being collected.

The project will produce a detailed database, while also testing a scalable approach that can be applied across training packages in the future, creating a centralised resource.
