Director
Matthew is a dedicated member of the meat industry community. He is the Federal Secretary of the Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union (AMIEU), and also the Secretary of the Queensland and Northern Territory Branch. He is a Board Director of the National Meat Industry Training Advisory Council (MINTRAC). Matthew also serves on the Agricultural Workforce Working Group convened by the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
Matt is a member of the National Biosecurity Strategy Group and the National Biosecurity Implementation Committee. He is a member of the Meat Processing Advisory Group with Manufacturing Skills Queensland. He serves on the Queensland Government’s Manufacturing Industry Sector Standing Committee, and also on its Queensland Beef Processing Strategy Group. He is also a member of the Meat Industry Advisory Group for Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
Matthew’s previous experience includes Director of the Meat Industry Employees’ Superannuation Fund. He holds trade qualifications as a butcher and has completed an advanced trustee director course.
