Mapping workplace training to pulp and paper manufacturing qualifications

As the Pulp and Paper sector responds to plant modernisation, changing product lines and an ageing workforce, there is an urgent need for clear, nationally recognised training pathways to support attraction, retention, and skills recognition.

This project aligns a pilot organisation’s internal training with the national training framework, undertaking a gap analysis with a registered training organisation, and working with targeted industry stakeholders to forecast future learner demand and build a sustainable business case for accredited training.

At the conclusion of the project, industry will have access to a comprehensive mapping report and practical recognition of prior learning guidance to help formally acknowledge workers’ existing skills.

This Skills Insight JSC project is being managed with the support of ForestWorks as part of their collaborative partnership with Skills Insight.
