The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is currently seeking feedback for the Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA) 2027 consultation.
How occupations are defined and categorised in the OSCA directly influences government policy and planning, including which roles and industries are prioritised for government support. Your input is vital to ensure classifications accurately reflect current roles, skills and workforce needs.
To support stakeholder engagement with the consultation, Skills Insight hosted a webinar on 9 April 2026, bringing together industry stakeholders and ABS representatives. We have also compiled a set of responses to frequently asked questions to support your submission, including questions raised during the webinar.
The ABS are collecting feedback via their Consultation Hub from 10 March to 24 April 2026.
