    This national consultation webinar will present an overview of the project’s research findings and the proposed National Entry-Level Sewing Machinist Workforce Development Initiative.

    Attendees will have the chance to review the proposed workforce pathway model, discuss implementation factors, and provide feedback on training, workplace learning, learner support, employer engagement, and employment outcomes. The session aims to gather input from a wide range of stakeholders involved in workforce development, training, and community support.

    This second national consultation webinar provides an additional opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to the development of future workforce solutions for Australia’s sewing machinist industries.

     

    The session will build on feedback received throughout the consultation process and explore emerging themes from webinars, stakeholder discussions and written submissions. Participants will help validate key findings, test proposed approaches and contribute to recommendations that may inform future pilot programs and workforce development initiatives.

    The Retail Butchery and Smallgoods Project is updating the Certificate III qualifications for retail butchery and smallgoods. The first drafts are released on 1 September 2026, and we want your feedback.

     

    Join us to walk through the proposed changes and share your perspective from across the sector, so we can be confident we’re training our workforce effectively.

     

    These broad consultation meetings are your opportunity to see the drafts, hear the reasoning behind the proposed changes, and tell the project team what needs adjusting. Feedback gathered at these meetings will directly inform the second drafts.

    AMP Stage 3 – Meat Processing Pathways Broad Consultation, Bunbury WA

    The Meat Processing Pathways project is reviewing several AMP Training Package Certificate III Meat Processing qualifications, Skill Sets and units of competency to ensure these training products meet current and future industry needs.

     

    Initial drafts of training products will be available during September – October 2026 for broad consultation feedback. Industry stakeholders including associations, unions, employers, workers, trainers and students are invited to provide insights on current and emerging workforce needs, and feedback on the draft products. The information gathered will be used to inform the second drafts of the training products.

    Public Consensus Gathering Webinar | Textile Flooring Manufacturing Pathway Project

    To ensure training products continue to meet the evolving needs of industry, proposed updates to the MST20722 Certificate II in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles are being developed, including the introduction of a Textile Flooring Manufacturing specialisation and a new Circular Economy Skill Set.

    This webinar provides an opportunity for industry stakeholders, employers, training providers, peak bodies, and workers to review the proposed changes and contribute feedback during the Public Consensus Gathering phase. Participants will hear an overview of the project, the proposed training products, and the outcomes of industry consultation to date, while also having the opportunity to provide input to help ensure the final products reflect current and emerging workforce requirements.
