The Retail Butchery and Smallgoods Project is updating the Certificate III qualifications for retail butchery and smallgoods. The first drafts are released on 1 September 2026, and we want your feedback.

These broad consultation meetings are your opportunity to see the drafts, hear the reasoning behind the proposed changes, and tell the project team what needs adjusting. Feedback gathered at these meetings will directly inform the second drafts.

The Meat Processing Pathways project is reviewing several AMP Training Package Certificate III Meat Processing qualifications, Skill Sets and units of competency to ensure these training products meet current and future industry needs.

Initial drafts of training products will be available during September – October 2026 for broad consultation feedback. Industry stakeholders including associations, unions, employers, workers, trainers and students are invited to provide insights on current and emerging workforce needs, and feedback on the draft products. The information gathered will be used to inform the second drafts of the training products.
