Australia’s textile flooring manufacturing sector requires workers with specialised technical skills. However, there is no dedicated training pathway into these roles and current training does not fully reflect modern production needs.
This project will define entry-level skills and create a qualification pathway by updating the MST20722 Certificate II in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles to include a specialisation. It will also create a circular economy skill set, aligned to current industry practices and sustainability requirements.
