Communications Manager

Tessa is an experienced communications professional with a background in communications strategy, copywriting, public relations, media relations, and digital marketing. At Skills Insight, she is responsible for leading internal and external communications, while also serving as a key member of the Skills Insight Executive Committee. Working closely with the CEO and Executive, Tessa oversees the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Skills Insight’s communications strategy, policies, and plans.

Between 2016-2023 Tessa worked for Skills Impact where she held a significant role in supporting the establishment of the organisation. She led the development of all brand assets, including Skills Impact’s website, and successfully developed and delivered the communications strategy. Prior to joining Skills Impact, Tessa worked for an Industry Skills Council and public relations agencies working with FMCG, local government and not-for-profit clients, including Cadbury, Vegemite, the City of Melbourne, and Ovarian Cancer Australia.

Tessa has a Bachelor of Communications, a Certificate in Digital Marketing, and a Certificate IV in Project Management Practice. She has also completed the Leader Evolution program through Leadership Victoria and an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Competency Course by the Centre for Cultural Competence Australia.
